The Blessed Paper Thing™
These settings define how text-based charts are laid out on the virtual page. (aka: make it look pretty-ish)
Tint
The tint is used as a translucent overlay to otherwise black & white text. Totes helpful if your eyeballs are drama queens & need some color therapy to chill out & read without squinting yourself into oblivion.
Dark Color
This color gets blended with any black "ink" on the page to colorize it. Default is transparent (aka: boring).
Light Color
This color gets blended with any white color on the page to colorize it. Default is transparent (aka: still boring).
Low Light Mode
Determines if low light mode is enabled on the document so you can stop being a vampire about it. Default is off (you're welcome, sunlight).
Font
This is the default font to use for new charts. Pick wisely, or don't. We won't judge. (Okay, we will judge a little.)
Font Family
You can select between common font styles including: Serif, Sans-Serif, Monospaced & Handwritten which on most devices translates to Georgia, Helvetica (Default), Courier, & Marker Felt. Choose the one that makes you feel like a real musician & not a spreadsheet nerd.
Line Spacing
This allows you to adjust the distance between lines of text so your eyes don't have a complete meltdown. The range that can be selected is 0.7 to 1.3. Default is 1.0 (aka: normal human).
Layout
This section determines how text is arranged on the page so you can stop staring at a bloopin' mess. Options include:
Pagination
This determines if text-based documents should be broken into the physical paper size or expand to be on a single, scrollable page because who even prints anymore? Options include: Single Page (default) & Multiple Pages (for the paper-lovin' dinosaurs among us).
Columns
This setting allows you to determine the default number of columns. Choose between 1 (Default, ya know, normal) & 2 columns (for when you're feelin' fancy).
Gutter
This is the width of the whitespace to place between columns when there is more than one because blank space is apparently important. Default is 1/2" & options include measurements from None to 1" in 1/8" increments. Riveting stuff, right?
Paper
This section defines the default sheet of virtual paper used to determine the size of elements as well as printing. (Spoiler: it's all digital, but we're still pretending it's paper.)
Paper Size
This lets you choose the size of the paper to draw the chart. Options include:
- Letter - 8.5" x 11" (Default, because America)
- Folio - 8.5" x 13" (for when Letter isn't extra enough)
- Legal - 8.5" x 14" (ironically, not actually legal-sized)
- Tabloid - 11" x 17" (go big or go home, amirite)
- A5 - 148mm x 210mm (metric for the cool kids)
- A4 - 210mm x 297mm (Europe's comfort size)
- A3 - 297mm x 420mm (still metric, getting spicy)
- A2 - 420mm x 594mm (okay now you're just showing off)
Paper Orientation
This is the orientation of the paper used to render the song. Portrait (Default, aka vertical & normal) or Landscape (aka horizontal & bougie).
Margins
This lets you choose the default margins for the paper so your text doesn't, like, fall off the edge & look sad. This is between 0" & 1-1/2" in 1/8" or 1/4" increments. Default is 3/4" (Goldilocks approved).
Footer
This section dictates how the footer of the song appears by default. (You know, that thing at the bottom nobody reads.)
Footer Size
This slider allows you to determine the relative font size of the footer compared to the lyric size of the chart. This can be between 0-100%. Default is 75% (small enough to ignore, loud enough to exist).
Display Footer
This switch determines if the footer is outputted. (Off = blissful ignorance. On = chaos.)
Include Page Numbers
This determines if page numbers are outputted in the footer. For when you absolutely must know what page you're on & can't just wing it.
Text
This allows you to add additional text to the footer. Go ahead, leave yourself cute notes. We won't tell.
