๐ต Pick Ur Jam (If U Can Decide)
The audio track picker displays all tracks that match the current chord chart by name. ZOMG, it'll even show that one custom track you obsessively picked. For each track, you get the album artwork (if it exists, which let's be real, sometimes it doesn't), plus the track name & artist. Basically, we did the heavy liftin' so you don't have to squint.
Sonic Knob-Twistin' Central
Tap that lil wrench icon & boomโyou're in audio playback settings where you can freakin' change everything. Tap Done to save your masterpiece & bail, or tap Cancel if you chickened out & changed nothin'. Your call, chief.
Matchmakin' Your Audio to the Chord Chart
Tap the audio track you wanna marry to your chord chart. By default, OnSong auto-links the first track it finds by nameโreal romantic, right? A checkmark shows up next to your current beau. Wanna ditch it? Tap the checked track to uncheck & BAMโno audio assigned. Single & ready to mingle.
Custom Audio Track Shenanigans
Wanna grab a track from iTunes Music Library or your OnSong Media Library? Tap the + button in the bottom right corner to open the Choose Custom Track menu & go diggin' for gold. We'll wait.
The Lazy Robot Way
By default, tracks auto-link by exact title match between your chord chart & the audio. Thrilling stuff, amirite? You can tweak how OnSong hunts for matchesโor just turn the whole thing offโin Settings ยป Live Settings ยป Audio Playback ยป Automatically Link Tracks.
BTW, matches might pull from iCloud too. If that freaks you out, go nuke it in Settings ยป Live Settings ยป Live Bar ยป Audio ยป Show Music in iCloud.
Steal the Tempo & Duration Like a Boss
That lil switch at the bottom? It yoinks the duration & tempo straight from your selected audio track. Enable it & OnSong will force-feed your song the duration & tempo from the track. It's weirdly invasive, but hey, automation, amirite?

Secret Right-Click Menu of Doom
Long-press (or right-click if you're fancy) any item in the list & a whole lotta options pop up:
- Edit opens the Audio Media Editor so you can tweak your track like the perfectionist you are.
- Bounce squashes the file into one stereo, compressed track usin' your current mix. Flattenin' things since 2024.
- Mix fires up the mixer widget if you're feelin' multitrack fancy.
- Remove ditches the track from this song's available options. Breakup energy.
- Delete totally nukes it from the library forever. No take-backsies.
