๐ธ The Magic Knobs
There are a buncha tools at your disposal for crushin' it live. Instead of bein' all "one way or the highway," OnSong's like "hey, customize literally everything." These options are split up into the following major categories:
Mic & Audio Weirdness
Tells OnSong which microphone or audio interface to eavesdrop on. (Srsly, it listens.)
Autoscroll (a.k.a. The Lazy Button)
Tweaks how autoscroll does its thing. Because manually scrollin' is sooo 2010.
Backing Tracks (Your Invisible Band)
Options for how your backing tracks get blasted out. Don't worry, we'll try not to drown you out.
Chord Playback (Those Bleepin' Harmonies)
Decides when & how chords get played back usin' those optional soundbanks or MIDI. (You know, if you're fancy like that.)
External Video (The Projector Stuff)
Wanna project lyrics, build a virtual music stand, or just mirror your iPad to the biggie screen? Yeah, we got settings for that.
Live Bar (Your Freakin' Dashboard)
Giant buttons that give you quick access to toggle all the stuff you're probably gonna need. They're down in the lower right corner, if you're squintin'.
Metronome (The Click Track Overlord)
Play to a click, practice like it's your job, or just vibe with the beeps. Customize how it sounds, looks & acts like the drama queen it is.
MultiTrack (Those Fancy Music Layers)
Controls how the music & click tracks from MultiTracks get sent out. Totes tweakable.
Playback (Who's Actually Playin'?)
Picks which parts of your performance get controlled by the track. (Spoiler: probably more than you think.)
Vocal Cues (Robo-Announcer Mode)
OnSong can literally announce stuff usin' your in-ear monitors. Customize what gets spoken & which channels hear it. ZOMG, so meta.
Sound Effects (Ding! Dong! Whoosh!)
OnSong can play lil' audio dings when you flip pages or plug in external video. It's off by default (bless), but you can turn it on if you're into that sorta thing.
To pick whether OnSong keeps goin' even when you ditch it in the background, use Don't Kill Me Bro in Energy Management.
